Pre-school Committee

As a Charity Welly Pre-school requires a committee of trustees to run. The committee is made up of volunteers from Welly families who are elected by the parents/carers at each Annual General Meeting held every September.  This is a great way for you to be a positive part of your child’s pre-school life and there are roles to suit different strengths from the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary roles to the fundraising and social team.  

 

Some key areas the committee cover are:

• Managing the setting’s finances, employing and managing the staff members

• Making sure policies and procedures are in place to continue to provide our high quality setting

• Fundraising

• Organising social events for parents/carers

All the roles are really rewarding, and we would love for you to be on board; you will certainly get out what you put in.

Parents/Carer involvement 

Parents/carers can be involved in the pre-school in a variety of ways, including: 

​

• Joining us for lunch time

• Gardening 

• Joining us for storytime

• Sharing an interesting skill/hobby/job

• Helping with craft activities

 Fundraising  

As a charity, every penny counts. We hold fundraising events throughout the year to be able to afford enrichment activities and resources that will benefit now and in the future.
